Come in... Sit down... Stay awhile!

Well, it's been quite some time but I've finally made my way back around to blog-land.
It's been super easy for me to be way too busy for a blog, but since ditching facebook {I'll delve into that story some other time} I figured that this would be a great way to share client previews and whatever other random ramblings I had in my brain. At least until I get a website up and running again.
I've decided that Rock & Royalty Photography is dead.
We had a great run.
Tons of amazing clients over the past 8 years, but in the spirit of my big move to Colorado and my #allneweverything theory... why not scrap everything in my business and start over from scratch!?
So.
Darling Lou Photography & Design has been born!
My daughter Paislee {who is 2} is nicknamed Lou so that's where the new business name came from.
Her big brother Wyatt {who is 4} kept trying to call her La La Loopsy for a period of time after she was born {I have no idea why} but it turned into Lou Lou Woopsy. So. Lou stuck.
Anyway. Prepare for some of that. Kid rambling stuff. With these blogs.
I also punctuate the crap out of what I write, mainly cos I very much write like I speak. Also, because I love to drive English teachers crazy!
I also plan to have a second blog that will be more kid stuff, mommy stuff and the like. I'll try to keep this one about photography, design and maybe tutorials and such at some point.
I know that I won't have much traffic here for a while and it'll take a while to get everything built back up but I'm super excited to be on this new journey.
I've lived in Iowa pretty much my entire life, so following my husband to Colorado when he took a new job wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done. But I'm trying to embrace it with a positive spirit and open mind and minus a couple bumps in the road it's a "so far so good," type of situation!
The town we moved to is called Meeker, it's in the northwest corner of Colorado on the "desert," side and it's absolutely stunning.
With the exception of a couple of people, the residents here are incredibly sweet. The town is adorable and the community has a lot of fun things for the residents {especially the kids} to do seasonally. We just hit up the Fall Festival over the weekend and my kids had a blast!
Anywho.
I will be posting some new print designs I came up with in the next day or two and taking some steps to figure out if I want an etsy shop or how to go about trying to sell them.
If you all have any input that would be great.
Please also feel free to email me with any suggestions or anything at all
darlinglouphotography@outlook.com is my new email!
Again, SUPER excited. Thank you for reading this and I hope you all decide to come along for the {what's sure to be a} wild ride!
